Reserve at Broken Top – Champanelle Way
The Reserve at Broken Top has a special place in our hearts as Pacwest built all of the homes in the early days of the development and are happy to be working on another one. This project is unique; the owners purchased a home Spencer Williams designed in 2014 as well as the neighboring lot and consolidated them, making one big lot. Blair Davis worked with the owners to design a Detached Duplex that will also double as an Exercise Space, Music Room, Wine Room, and Office when not in use by guests. Connecting the two structures and tying the project together is an extensive landscape designed by SZABO Landscape Architecture, LLC. This features an in-ground spa, board-formed concrete planters, extensive paver patios set around massive boulders, and a bike pump track for the kids (and some adults). The structure features low slope hip roofs with slanted steel columns sandwiched between glulams to match the existing home. Energy efficiency and environmentally friendly materials are a major component of this project. The building envelope is detailed for minimal air leakage, upgraded additional insulation, and a high efficiency HVAC system with upgraded filters.
