Brasada Ranch – Prospect Ct.
As mountain modern designs gain popularity, many established communities that previously prohibited these designs are evolving. Brasada Ranch is one such community, and with the development of Eastside Highlands, now allows mountain modern designs. This home is situated above a natural drainage, looking out at the full Cascade Range from Mt. Hood to Mt. Bachelor on a clear day. The lot gently slopes down towards the back and was well suited for a split-level design; entering the main floor at native grade on the front, and exiting the lower floor at native grade in the back. Brasada Ranch projects native grade up to calculate maximum height, so working with the site is essential. The home features large expanses of floor to ceiling glass dying into low slope T&G roofs or massive stone walls running through the house. The siding is a mixture of cedar channel and 12” horizontal metal panels, providing a varied palette of materials to accent the home. The home will take advantage of the views with expansive glass as well as a variety of outdoor living spaces ranging from a bocce court out front to an elevated star-gazing deck off of the upper floor Family Room. We feel that this home designed by Spencer Williams will set the bar for these newer designs in Brasada Ranch.
